Our thoughts on preservation
What is the definition of a habitat?
Somewhere animals live, find food, and water. Five kinds of habitats are forest, desert, ocean, grassland, tundra.
What does endangered species mean?
A kind of animal that is in danger of not being alive anymore. Hunted animals that have few of their kind left.
What can cause an animal to become endangered?
People cutting down their homes and destroying their habitats, hunting them too much, not being able to find food because of droughts, litter
What is the definition of preservation?
Protecting things that are endangered, saving their habitats, keeping the animals safe
Why should we work to preserve our environment and animal habitats? S we don't cause animals to become extinct. Animals do things for us that we need.
List ways that we could work to preserve our environment.
Don't litter, clean up litter, don't cut so many trees down, don't waste water, recycle more, plant trees, drive less, don't feed park animals, and don't kill animals unless it is necessary.
What can people do to help?
Don't litter, adopt a highway, pick up trash at parks, plant trees
Who or what would be affected by this process of preservation?
The ground, the trees, other plants, and everyone in the community where it is being done.
